The annual Winter Break Mission Trip provides a wonderful way for students to stretch their “service muscles” by devoting their holiday time to service in a community of need, and have loads of fun while they are at it. Previous trips and partnering organizations have been:
2014 - Fond Parisien, Haiti, partnering with our friends at St. Sacrement, our partner school
2014 - Miami, Florida, partnered with His HOuse Children's HOme and St. Albans Child Enrichment Center
2013 - Tuscaloosa, Alabama, partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build homes
2012 - New York City, partnered with NYC Relief Bus and worked with the homeless
2011 - New Orleans, partnered with Episcopal Community Services of Louisiana to do post-Katrina demolition and reconstruction work
2010 - Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, partnered with Mission on the Bay doing post-Katrina cleanup work.
In addition to the Winter Break trip, in 2011 students enjoyed an abbreviated service trip combined with a 3-day spiritual retreat at Camp Wingmann, the Episcopal Camp near Avon Park, Florida.
