Mathematics is a useful, exciting, creative and vital area of study that is taught and explored by faculty who foster an appreciation and sense of enjoyment for all students. The rigorous and varied curriculum provides opportunities for our students to develop their abilities to solve problems and reason logically. The study of math is an ongoing process that will extend to and enhance every facet of students’ lives, while also recognizing its potential impact on the global community.
The curriculum offers courses of study which will enable students to explore and make sense of their world. The senior high mathematics curriculum provides students an opportunity to continue their preparation for college mathematics or to take courses at the college level. The college preparatory track includes Geometry, Algebra II, Advanced Topics in Mathematics, and Analysis of Functions. The advanced track includes Geometry Honors, Algebra II Honors, Precalculus, and three levels of Calculus. Advanced Placement Calculus AB or Advanced Placement Calculus BC are both part of this program. Multivariable Calculus is available for students who score a five on the College Board exam before their senior year.
