Mission of the Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees exists to be responsible fiduciaries today, thus ensuring the perpetuation of our Academy's mission into the future, so that our current students' children will be able to come to this Academy and experience the fullness of its mission.

  • Chairperson: Mr. Thomas Stallard

    is a lifelong resident of Brevard County and a graduate of the University of Central Florida. His two children started at HTEA in preschool; his son graduated in 2018 and his daughter is a current high school student. Tom is the president of State Title and is a member of the American Land Title Association and Florida Land Title Association. He attends Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and serves as a board member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Foundation, Inc.
  • Vice-Chairperson: Mrs. Patricia Dial

    is the parent of two Holy Trinity alumni lifers and has served several terms on the Holy Trinity board of trustees. She was honored as the 2012 Upper School Volunteer of the Year. She is a Senior Manager at L3Harris Technologies, member of Women in Engineering, a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, United Way volunteer, and member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
  • Secretary: Mr. Martin Dandridge

    is a current parent and retired executive vice president for Northrop Grumman’s Integrated Systems. Mr. Dandridge has served on the board of trustees at Florida Institute of Technology and The Astronauts Memorial Foundation, and is on the board of directors for Aurora Flight Services.
  • Treasurer: Mr. Thomas Flavin

    is the parent of two former Holy Trinity students. He is the managing partner of Flavin Nooney & Person, CPAs & Advisors. After serving several terms on the board during in the late 1990s through 2008, he returned in 2017. Mr. Flavin also serves as a director of Fidelity Bank of Florida.
  • Past Chairperson: Dr. Gary Ganiban

    is the parent of two alumni, Class of 2016 and 2018. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained as a retina and vitreous specialist. He practices at The Eye Institute.
  • Mr. Kevin J. Bartczak

    currently serves as treasurer for Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and serves as the vestry representative for the church. Before his retirement, he held several board of director positions for a variety of private local businesses, contributing based upon his experience as a financial executive, CFO, treasurer and CPA.
  • Dr. Carolyn Burhans

    is an independent educational consultant with 39 years experience in education as a teacher, coach, curriculum specialist, principal and professional developer. She is president of the Northeast Episcopal Deanery, a member of the Central Florida Episcopal Diocesan Board of Directors, and serves her church and community in prayer ministry, flower guild, missions, bell choir and adult Christian education. She represents Bishop Gregory O. Brewer, Central Florida Episcopal Diocese, on the HTEA board.
  • Mr. Michael Crews

    is the senior warden at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church representing the rectors. He has served on the board since 2013, and is president of 4 C’s Nursery.
  • Mrs. Catherine A. Ford

    served as Holy Trinity’s Head of School for 25 years and is the mother of two HT alumnae. She currently serves on the board of trustees for Health First, the Astronaut Memorial Foundation and the Scott Center for Autism Treatment, among many other education-related and community leadership positions.
  • Mr. Geoffrey Fraser

    is an entrepreneur and owner/partner in several healthcare related companies, including Clear Choice Health Care which manages and oversees nursing and assisted living facilities in two states. He also serves on the board of the Red Cross-Space Coast Chapter. Helping seniors, people with disabilities and our nation's veterans has been his life's mission. Mr. Fraser earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration and a Master of Health Administration from the University of North Florida. His greatest passion is being the father of three Lower School students.
  • Ms. Jeanne Hakkila-Wills

    is a parent of three alumni, Class of 2006 and 2017. After serving on the board during the late 1990s, she supported the school as the director of alumni from 2003-2011 and has continued volunteering as a part of the girls varsity basketball program. Ms. Hakkila-Wills also serves on the vestry of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and as the treasurer of American Fundraising Professionals Space Coast Chapter. She is currently a project engineer at Harris Corporation.
     
  • Mr. Kerry Hanson

    is a former vestry representative and former senior warden for Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. He is chief engineer for ITT Systems.
  • Mr. Tom Hermansen

    manages the daily operations of Ocean Partners Hospitality, LLLP, which owns and operates four hotels in the Cocoa Beach market as well as other commercial real estate holdings in Brevard. Tom served as a founding board member Florida Bank of Commerce until its merger with Sunshine Bank. He has also served on the board of the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, advisory boards of the Brevard Tourist Development Council, and the Brevard Economic Development Council.
  • Mr. Justin Morton

    is a current parent of two students at Holy Trinity and partner/principal of Centennial Development Group.  He is a current member and past president of Melbourne Rotary Club, Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow, and former board of directors for South Brevard Habitat for Humanity.
  • Mr. Cole Oliver

    is an attorney and member of the firm of Rossway Swan, specializing in commercial litigation, business law, and commercial real estate. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Washington & Lee University, an MBA from Louisiana State University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida. While at the University of Florida, Mr. Oliver was a member of the Florida Law Review and served as Editor in Chief. Mr. Oliver was a law clerk to The Honorable John Antoon, II, United States District Court Middle District of Florida. He previously served on the board of the Brevard Zoo as governance chair and board vice president.
  • Capt. Winston Scott

    is the senior vice president of external relations and economic development at Florida Tech. A retired NASA astronaut and naval aviator and officer, Captain Scott has served as a university vice president, engineering college dean and professor, engineering company vice president, and the executive director of the Florida Space Authority. He joined the board in 2013.
  • Mr. Dan Schwinn

    is the father of three, two of whom are Holy Trinity students. He is the principal and founder of Avidyne, the number two global supplier of navigation systems and avionics for light aircraft and helicopters. He is a graduate of MIT with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Dan is a serial entrepreneur having started several companies and having been involved in numerous startups. He serves on the board of the Experimental Aircraft Association and  the Visiting Committee on Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT.
  • Mrs. Michelle Shoultz

    has been an HT parent since 2009. The president of Frazier Engineering, she is a licensed professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University and an Master of Science from Florida Tech. Mrs. Shoultz was the co-chair of the 2017 and 2018 Evening of Elegance and also serves as secretary of the Brevard Rescue Mission board of directors.
  • Ms. Delores Spearman

    currently serves as a board member of the Brevard Cultural Alliance, the Central Brevard County Children’s Advocacy Center, Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse, Keep Brevard Beautiful, and several other local organizations. She is a vestry member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.  
  • Mrs. Christie Upton Williams

    Christie Upton Williams is a Holy Trinity alumna, Class of 2004. She and her husband, Matt, Class of 2004, have two daughters, the oldest of whom is a student at the Lower School. She currently serves as executive director/CEO of Wins for Warriors Foundation, a military and veteran-focused charity with an emphasis on family bonding activities, and Adopt Rescue Heal, an animal adoption/service dog training program for veterans. She concurrently serves as president and co-founder of Upton Machine Company, a company which pursues strategic and entrepreneurial business partnerships. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Wake Forest University.
