Travel Protocol

If an HTEA student engages in travel – domestic or international – involving public transportation (planes, trains, etc.), we strongly recommend that you personally evaluate your child’s potential for Coronavirus exposure over the duration of the trip. While we do not require the following actions, we request that in order to help protect the HTEA community you consider either 1) quarantining your child for 14 days upon your return, or 2) having your child tested (PCR test) no earlier than 72 hours after their return home.

Health and Safety Plan

In this web portal, you will find information regarding our health and safety policies and procedures. This is a critical part of returning our students, faculty and staff to campus.

We look forward to greeting the new school year with our new protocols and policies in place and to supporting one another in an environment that "reflects the peace and joy of Christian values" in keeping with our school's mission statement. We are all in this together, and we are here to support you and your students to the very best of our abilities. Thank you once again for your patience and flexibility.

AUXS Safety App Daily Health Screening

A key element of our comprehensive COVID-19 health and safety plan is the partnership we have established with the AUXS Safety AppPlease read the detailed information in this Health and Safety Plan to learn how, using this health screening application, your family can work with school leadership to evaluate the risk of virus spread and to reduce exposure to COVID-19 in the on-campus setting.

Anyone entering campus, including students participating in the August Enrichment opportunities, MUST utilize this program prior to entry onto campus.

It is imperative that each and every student completes the health screening prior to leaving home each day. Students will not be permitted on campus without completing their screening. Any method of temperature check: oral, temporal, tympanic (ear), or rectal is acceptable. If have questions regarding the AUXS Safety App, please email your school nurse: Lower School nurse, Betty Schwind, bschwind@htes.org or Upper School nurse, Emily Totre, etotre@htes.org
