Changes Resulting from Hurricane Dorian

Please note the following updates resulting from our school closure.
Welcome back to school! Thank you for your patience, vigilance and support during Hurricane Dorian. We hope all of you fared well during the storm and did not incur any damage to your home or property. We are very fortunate to report that we had no damage at either campus.

Please note the following updates resulting from our school closure:

  • Make-Up Days: Our leadership team has evaluated how the school closure has impacted instructional time and has decided to add one make-up day to our schedule on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019. This was originally scheduled to be a faculty workday and student reading day in preparation for exams. The midterm exam schedule will not change; exams for Upper School students will begin on Monday, Dec. 16. Please see the revised school calendar and save this in your files.
  • Senior High Back to School Night, and 9th grade and 12th grade parent meetings will not be rescheduled. We encourage all school families to attend our parent conferences on Oct. 16-17 to meet their children’s teachers and learn more about the curriculum. More details regarding conferences will be announced at a later date.
  • The Europe trip meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 5:30 p.m. in Mrs. Rodby’s room, #308. See this flyer for more information.
  • Chaplain Jared’s ordination has been rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 26, at 9:20 a.m. at The Scott Center. All parents are welcome to attend!
  • Picture Day has been rescheduled for Monday, Sept. 30 (Upper School) and Wednesday, Oct. 30 (Lower School). Students must wear best dressed for their photos.
  • Incidental billing to your student accounts has been delayed. We hope to have all the incidental billing such as lunch, Tiger Transit, etc. completed by Friday, Sept. 13. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • We will hold a schoolwide fundraiser for Bahamas relief next week, Sept. 9-13. We will be collecting cash or checks throughout the week at both campuses, culminating in an out-of-uniform day for students on Friday, Sept. 13. Checks should be made out to Holy Trinity. All funds collected will be given to the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida to be wired directly to the Anglican Diocese of The Bahamas. We will not be collecting supplies. Students who wish to participate in the out-of-uniform day should also bring a donation of any amount on Friday. Lower School students may coordinate their out-of-uniform attire with International Dot Day and wear polka dots if they desire. Collection buckets will be placed throughout both campuses.
