Evening of Elegance

Registration is now open for our annual Evening of Elegance gala: Sunsets & Sangrias on Saturday, March 7!

Evening of Elegance will once again be held at the beautiful waterfront South Tropical Trail residence of Ed and Cheryl Scott.
 
The event is chaired this year by Mrs. Jessica Fleming and Ms. Jessica Cartagena Assam.
 
Mrs. Jessica Fleming is a Holy Trinity Class of 2004 alumna, and was the school’s first Advanced Placement Two Dimensional Art Student. As an avid amateur artist, Jessica enjoys passing along her love of the arts to her three children, all of whom attend the Lower School with plans to be Holy Trinity lifers. James is in third grade and enjoys music, math, and swim team. Caroline is in second grade and loves to dance and sing. Evelyn is in kindergarten and loves to draw colorful, detailed illustrations for her daily journal entries. Jessica is also a dedicated volunteer, serving Holy Trinity as an art docent for multiple classes, a classroom volunteer, the Daisy and Brownie Girl Scout Troop leader, and a substitute teacher.
 
When they moved back to Brevard County in 2016, Jessica and her husband Michael chose to send their children to Holy Trinity because, “Holy Trinity has the incredible ability to educate the whole child in an individualized, academically rigorous, arts enriched environment with an unparalleled focus on nurturing kindness and strong character in its students. We can’t imagine sending our children anywhere else.”
 
Ms. Jessica Cartagena Assam is the mother of Brandon, Class of 2020 and Karis, Class of 2022, and has been a Holy Trinity Parent since 2007. Jessica is no stranger to Evening of Elegance, having co-chaired Taste of Lansing in 2010. Jessica served on the Holy Trinity Parent Association board while at the Lower School for six years and was the recipient of the Lower School Volunteer of the Year award in 2014. Jessica's passion is giving back to her community as is evidenced by her volunteerism and involvement in several charitable organizations, including Board Member of the Brevard Zoo.  
 
Both Brandon and Karis have been involved in theatre arts at Holy Trinity since seventh grade. Brandon started out as tech crew in Holy Trinity's theatre program prior to embracing the stage as a performer his sophomore year. Karis has averaged 200-300 hours annually in community theatre since 2014. Outside of theatre arts, Brandon is student body president and captain of the swim and cross country team, while Karis enjoys varsity cheer and cross country. It is with Karis’s involvement in community theatre that Jessica saw a need to increase visibility of theatre programs through fundraising and marketing efforts and carried this through at Holy Trinity by spearheading the inception of the Thespian Boosters in 2018.  
 
“I was excited to learn that the proceeds of Evening of Elegance will be benefiting the arts program,” said Ms. Cartagena Assam.  “I strongly believe that any form of art provides an essential element to complete and balance a child’s education. I credit Holy Trinity for giving our students the opportunity to explore their imagination and creativity with their course offerings and the faculty for nurturing and supporting our students talents so that they can experience the joy and confidence that comes from learning through the arts.”

In exchange for your contribution/sponsorship, we provide dinner/beverages with a fair market value of $150 per person. Please retain receipt for tax-filing purposes.
