SCRIP

What is Scrip?

Scrip is “substitute money” - purchase gift cards and receive a rebate toward your tuition!
For example, purchase a $100 gift card to Land’s End for school uniforms & Land’s End gives you 16% toward your tuition ($16 in this example). HTEA gives you 90% of that rebate for your own tuition ($14.40 in this example) and the remaining amount goes to the financial aid fund.

Scrip retailers vary on the percentage they offer, and they include grocery stores, gas stations, airlines, hotels, cruises, clothing, toys, etc.

ScripNow:

Many retailers also offer ScripNow / eCards which are purchased online and can be used instantly or printed to use in stores. For example: Log into www.shopwithscrip.com and purchase an Amazon eCard. You will receive a gift card code within minutes which you can copy/paste right into your Amazon checkout! In order to use Scrip Now, you must enroll in Presto Pay - see below for instructions.

How do I begin?

  1. At the start of each new school year, enroll through our website: http://www.htacademy.org/Page/Support-HT/SCRIP/SCRIP-Enrollment

  2. The Scrip coordinator will email you a username and password for the www.shopwithscrip.com website and attach a short document that provides step-by-step instructions for using the website and for enrolling in PrestoPay.

  3. You can order through the website and pay online via PrestoPay (automatic account withdrawal) OR with cash or check that can be dropped off at the office.

  4. You can also download and print the paper form or pick up one from the Lower School Gallery or Upper School Office.  When you're ready to order, just drop the order form and your cash or check payment back off at the office.

  5. The Scrip coordinator will fill your order and leave it in the Gallery for Lower School pick-up or in the front office at the Upper School. Orders for plastic gift cards are placed each Monday and are delivered on Fridays.
