Our comprehensive athletic program begins at the Lower School with our youngest athletes. The focus is on sportsmanship, achievement, integrity and leadership in order to improve the athletic ability and fitness of every student. The Upper School offers 40 athletic teams, Junior High through Varsity. The Florida High School Athletic Association’s (FHSAA) by-laws permit seventh and eighth grade students to participate on High School athletic teams if a specific Junior High program is not available. Additionally, Junior High students may also participate on some High School teams if their athletic abilities and skills warrant it.
Our athletic department ranks 9th overall throughout Florida when compared to all of the 98 schools that compete on the 3A level.
During the last two years, the FHSAA has ranked Holy Trinity’s overall Athletic Department in the top ten throughout Florida when compared to similar size schools. Holy Trinity athletics are an extension of the classroom. Each year, our Varsity teams are ranked in the top ten throughout Florida for cumulative team grade-point- averages when also compared to similar size schools.
At the Upper School, balance is key as we seek to provide equilibrium between the rigorous academic and competitive athletic worlds. The Athletic department strives to enrich the holistic development of individual participants from diverse backgrounds through athletic involvement. Through the myriad of experiences related to interscholastic competition, participants will experience leadership opportunities, teamwork, and rewards unique to the athletic arena.
