Mission of the Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees exists to be responsible fiduciaries today, thus ensuring the perpetuation of our Academy's mission into the future, so that our current students' children will be able to come to this Academy and experience the fullness of its mission.

  • Chairperson: Mr. Janis Pamiljans

    is the parent of a Lower School student. He currently serves as corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman’s Aerospace Systems sector, which has major operations throughout California; in Oklahoma City; in St. Augustine, Fla. and in Melbourne. Mr. Pamiljans earned a bachelor’s degree in aero operations from San Jose State University and completed advanced management programs at Harvard Business School and Duke University. He serves on the board of directors of the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.
  • Vice Chairperson: Mrs. Patricia Dial

    is the parent of two Holy Trinity alumni lifers and has served several terms on the Holy Trinity Board of Trustees, including as chair for the Finance, Endowment, and Advancement committees.   She was honored as the 2012 Upper School Volunteer of the Year.  She is a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Women in Engineering, United Way of Brevard, Daughters of the American Revolution, Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International,  and has recently retired from L3Harris. Mrs. Dial has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Florida Southern College and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University.
  • Secretary: Mrs. Michelle Shoultz

    has been an HT parent since 2009 and is most proud to be called mom by Brock and Grant. Brock attends Berry College in Rome, Georgia and plays for the Men’s Soccer Team.  Grant is currently a senior at HT and will graduate in the fall of 2024.  Mrs. Shoultz proudly served along-side her husband Chad as co-chair of the Capital Campaign for the recently completed Field House and Athletic Complex.  Prior to serving on the BOT, she also co-chaired the Evening of Elegance events in 2017 and 2018.  She is the president of Frazier Engineering and is a licensed Civil/Environmental engineer with a BS from Rutgers University and MS from Florida Tech.  She serves on the New Life Mission board emeritus and is an active parishioner at Holy Name of Jesus.
  • Treasurer: Mr. Cole Oliver

    is an attorney and member of the firm of Rossway Swan, specializing in land use and commercial real estate law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Washington & Lee University, an MBA from Louisiana State University, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida. While at the University of Florida, Mr. Oliver was a member of the Florida Law Review, holding the position of Editor in Chief of the Law Review.   After law school, Mr. Oliver served as a law clerk to The Honorable John Antoon, II, United States District Court Middle District of Florida.  Mr. Oliver currently serves on the boards of Cypress Bank & Trust, Sidus Space, and as a Governor’s appointee to the Governing Board of the St. Johns River Water Management District.  He has previously served as the board president of the Brevard Zoo, as Chairman of the Charter Review Committee for Port Canaveral, and twice as a member of the Brevard  County Charter Review Committee. 
  • Past Chairperson: Mr. Thomas Flavin

    is the parent of two former Holy Trinity students. He is the managing partner of Flavin Nooney & Person, CPAs & Advisors. After serving several terms on the board during in the late 1990s through 2008, he returned in 2017. Mr. Flavin is happy to be back on the Board.
  • Mr. Kevin J. Bartczak

    Before his retirement, he held several board of director positions for a variety of private local businesses, contributing based upon his experience as a financial executive, CFO, treasurer and CPA.
  • Dr. Frank Christopian

    currently serves as the vestry representative for Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Dr. Christopian is a Professor of Business at Eastern Florida State College. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Florida Institute of Technology, teaching in the graduate school Business Masters programs. He holds a doctorate from Regent University as well as two Master of Science degrees from Loyola University, and the George Washington University. His Bachelor of Arts degree is from the University of Memphis. Previously, he served 24 years in the aerospace and defense industry. He is a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
  • Mrs. Dipty Desai

    initially became involved with Holy Trinity in 1996 as the parent of two alumni and has had a passion for the school ever since.  She received her Bachelor of Pharmacy at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  In her second career she became a certified teacher and spent her working career in education at HT. She previously taught first grade and was tasked to develop and teach the STEAM program at the lower school.  She has also been involved in various other projects in the HT community, including chairing Evening of Elegance twice, developing and running the character education program, leading Girl Scouts, and starting International Day in the Early Childhood Program to name a few.  Outside of Holy Trinity, Dipty is actively involved in the community, and has served on the boards of Children’s Advocacy Center, Manav Mandir and Indiafest Board of Advisors.  In her free time, she enjoys photography, attending book clubs, gardening, cooking, traveling, hiking, and playing with her dog Zoe.
  • Mr. Geoffrey Fraser

    is an entrepreneur and owner/partner in several healthcare related companies, including Clear Choice Health Care which manages and oversees nursing and assisted living facilities in two states. Helping seniors, people with disabilities and our nation's veterans has been his life's mission. Mr. Fraser earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration and a Master of Health Administration from the University of North Florida. His greatest passion is being the father of three Lower School students.
  • Mr. Gary Grant

    is vice president for advancement and chief development officer for Florida Institute of Technology. He has more than 30 years of experience in higher education advancement, including sixteen years in development for the University of Chicago. Mr. Grant holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago and a Juris Doctor degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Kent College of Law. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1996. He and his wife have three daughters, and he is a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
  • Mr. William "Bill" Harris

    is the parent of a 2009 Holy Trinity Lifer/Graduate, and has served several terms on the Holy Trinity board of trustees.  He has been a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley in Melbourne for 39 years.  Mr. Harris is a past President of the Community Foundation for Brevard, and a current trustee of the Roy and Barbara Stevens Foundation.
  • Mrs. Dana Kilborne

    currently serves as the CEO and President of Cypress Bank & Trust and is also the CEO of Cypress Capital Group. She is actively involved in both organizations as a Director. This is her second bank startup and with over thirty years in the financial sector, Dana brings a wealth of experience to her roles.
     
    She served as a Director at the Federal Reserve Board of Atlanta Bank's Jacksonville Branch and contributes to boards of organizations such as Health First, Inc. and Florida Tech. Dana also continues her involvement with the Economic Development Commission of the Space Coast, where she previously served as Board Chair.
     
    She has deep ties with Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy as a parent of three graduates and past Board Chair and is pleased to have rejoined the Board in 2023. 
  • Mrs. Joy Patterson

    has a B.A. from the University of South Florida, an M.A. from Northwestern University, and an M.S. from Florida Institute of Technology.  Joy’s only child attended Holy Trinity Episcopal School from 1983- 1989. After teaching English at Melbourne Central Catholic High School for 30 years, she retired to teach Freshmen at Florida Institute of Technology.  In 2022, she retired from Florida Tech where she continues to tutor in the Writing Center.  Her hobbies include reading, music, walking, and traveling.  She Is a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
  • Dr. Adrian Peter

  • The Rev. Tom Phillips

    is a dad, fisherman and a road bike racer. Prior to coming to Holy Trinity he was the rector at Church of the Incarnation in Oviedo, Florida from 2018 to 2023. While there he brought a passion for faithfully preaching and teaching the Bible. Before being ordained as a Priest, Tom was one of the founding members of Emmaus Ministries an inter-denominational Bible school that takes young adults through the content of the entire Bible in 10 months. The ministry began in partnership with Youth With a Mission, the world’s largest missions organization.
  • Mrs. Marilyn Kay Scott

    is a native Floridian and a graduate of Florida State University and Old Dominion University. Marilyn is recently retired from Florida Institute of Technology School of Engineering where she was a faculty member in the computer science department. Over the past twelve years, she has served on numerous boards in Brevard County. Her passion statement is that ‘we should always try our best to support our community.' Marilyn is married to Winston Scott and is the mother of two adult children. Her hobbies include, jazzercise, music and tennis. She is a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
  • Mr. Summit Shah

    is the father of two Holy Trinity students and is a returning HTEA trustee. He previously served as vice chairman and secretary of the board. Mr. Shah is the president/principal of Southeast Petro Distributors and also serves as a board member for Crosswind Youth Services, The Children's Hunger Project, United Way of Brevard and Boy Scouts of America. He chairs the FIT Board of Fellows and is active in Business Voice and the EDC. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing and a minor in Sociology from Tulane University.
  • The Very Rev. Dr. Porter C. Taylor

    is the Rector of St. David’s by the Sea Episcopal Church (Cocoa Beach) and Dean of the Southeast Deanery for the Diocese of Central Florida. Porter also sits on the Board for the diocese. Ordained since 2013, he received a PhD in Liturgical Theology from the University of Aberdeen in 2023. Before becoming Rector of St. David's, Porter served in diocesan executive leadership in California and at two church plants in California and Kansas. 
     
    While he will always have a foot in academia, Porter’s true vocation lies in the local parish where he can help equip God’s people for Kingdom ministry. He is especially energized by leadership development, discipleship, accessible theology, pastoral care, and strategic planning. 
     
    Porter was appointed Bishop's Representative to the Holy Trinity Board of Trustees in 2022 after serving as the Interim Chaplain of the Upper School for the 2021/2022 academic year. Porter and his wife, Rebecca, have three sons who fill their days with laughter and a hefty dose of laundry. 
  • Mrs. Sonja Waterman

    grew up in Melbourne, FL, and attended Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy from grade 4-12. She is extremely grateful for the Christian foundation that she built there. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with bachelor degrees in Hospitality and Event Management. Sonja has spent time previously coaching volleyball and working in the advancement department at Holy Trinity.  
     
    Sonja met her husband, Andy, while playing in a competitive beach volleyball tournament in Cocoa Beach. They married in 2015 and have two boys, Jackson and Maverick. Their passions are real estate, playing beach volleyball, surfing, skiing, boating, and traveling as much as possible. 
     
    Sonja is passionate about helping people and being a light wherever needed. Her favorite verse is Philippians 4:13.
  • The Rev. Joy Willard-Williford

    is a retired Episcopal priest actively serving as a “supply priest” in various churches in the Diocese of Central Florida. She is the parent of two “legacy” HT alums and grandparent of one alum (’23) and one current 10th grader. Her initial involvement in HTEA dates to 1981, with various roles over the years including chair of the Board of Trustees, Head Chaplain (2009-2016), and Director of Advancement and Finance. She currently serves on the board of directors for Neuroacanthocytosis Advocacy USA, Inc. and is actively engaged in racial reconciliation work serving on the Becoming Beloved Community Task Force of the diocese. With undergraduate degrees in anthropology and nursing from the University of Florida, she also holds an MPA from UCF and an MDiv from the University of the South-Sewanee. She has considerable experience working in nonprofit management and local government, in particular advocating for affordable housing and community development in underserved neighborhoods. Her hobbies are genealogy, reading, and watching k-dramas.
