Mrs. Janas

College: Bachelor of Music Education (Instrumental), Florida State University. Professional Teaching Certificate in Music K–12, Florida Department of Education.

Career: Mrs. Janas has been teaching instrumental music in Florida schools since 2017, previously serving as Associate Director of Bands at Central Middle School in Melbourne. Throughout her career, she has instructed beginning, intermediate, advanced, percussion, and jazz bands while helping students achieve success at district and state levels. She has led programs recognized for Superior ratings at Music Performance Assessments, guided numerous students to All-County and All-State honor bands, and developed opportunities for students to perform throughout their communities. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Janas is an active member of several professional music organizations and currently serves as District 10 Secretary for the Florida Bandmasters Association.
