How do you feel you can help students to “Start Here. Go Anywhere.”?
Math is a gateway to so many exciting avenues of learning and enterprise.  I want to show each of my students that they can learn anything and pursue their dreams.

 

What is the most important life lesson you want a child to learn in your classroom?
You can learn anything if you are willing to pursue truth with enthusiasm.

 

How do you apply the latest technology in your class?
We use multiple learning platforms such as ALEKS that make use of cutting edge algorithms to assist in identifying gaps in their knowledge base and help to shore up weaknesses.

 

What experiences or people have had the most influence on you?
Dr. Robert Seale and Dr. Carl Hinderager were amazing influences in my life and inspired me to want to teach and coach with energy and passion.

 

What do you love about teaching? And/or teaching at Holy Trinity?
Being excellent is cool. Pursuing greatness in whatever area or field is celebrated in an atmosphere of Christ-like compassion and humility.

 

What are some of your interests and passions outside of the classroom?
I coach boys’ basketball and boys’ and girls’ tennis with Coach Steve Henderson and Coach Mark Harrison. I am a huge Kentucky Basketball fan.  I love to compete in almost anything and love to spend time with my family.
