Mr. Bailey

U.S. History Honors
Education: Bachelor of Arts, University of Georgia

What do you look forward to the most about teaching at Holy Trinity?
Holy Trinity students are eager to learn, which creates a positive teaching environment.

What is the most important life lesson you want a child to learn in your classroom?
The influence and impact that one life can have on society, both positive and negative.

How do you inspire a student who has a hard time with your subject area?
First, you can only inspire what is already present. So, one must educate young minds with information that she/he is able to identify with. Therefore, my endeavor is to make material “relevant.”

What are some of your interests and passions outside of the classroom?
One of my primary interest outside of the classroom is coaching/training student-athletes.

In what professional development activities have you participated recently?
I recently completed a USA Track and Field – Instructor Training Course. This is designed to give youth and high school coaches training in, and access to the latest “training theories,” biomechanical data on “high-performance athletes,” and theories of “adaptation.”

What is the best compliment you’ve ever received or could receive as a teacher?
The best compliment I received as a teacher was, “You made me want to study history in college.”
