How do you feel you can help students to "Start Here. Go Anywhere."?
I mentor students and encourage them to perform service to community and other people.
What motivated you to become a teacher?
Motivation came from wanting to teach/coach young people and share my knowledge of athletics with them. I have always had a genuine love of sports, people and kids.
What experiences or people have had the most influence on you?
My parents made me who I am today. Teachers and coaches have added to my discipline and work-ethic along the way.
What are your hopes for your program/discipline at HT?
The HT experience has been nothing but positive for me. I feel it has made me a better person each and every day that I am around HT staff, students and parents.
What do you want your students to take away from working with you?
Some things I want my students to learn from me as a role model is to be caring and considerate of others. I want them to set the bar high and have the proper work-ethic to achieve goals. I must say that ALL the HT students I have known have a vision and a purpose for their futures.
How do you measure your success as an educator?
I measure my success as an educator by the number of former students and athletes who come to me for advice and guidance and when I get that big "bear hug" as a greeting from my former students.
