Anaya has played softball and cheered throughout high school, supported by her mom, Glenda Lopez.
Anaya's favorite memory of the softball season was "when I tripped on my shoe lace and face planted into the sand and just popped up like nothing happened, and having to hear all my friends dying laughing in the dugout."
She would like to thank: "God for blessing me with the opportunity to play this sport and giving me the strength to have confidence in my abilities to contribute to the team’s success. I would also like to thank my mom for supporting me through everything and sacrificing everything she has to make sure that I am the happiest girl in the world. She is the best mom, HANDS DOWN! I love her. I would like to thank all of my coaches, specifically Coach Ken, for believing in my talents and always reminding me that I am capable of being an amazing ball player. I would also like to thank all of my teammates, specifically my best friend, Adiya, captains Bella and Shea, Jordan, Cali, all of my seventh graders and my little Jadeyn for making this last year very memorable for me!"
Anaya will attend the University of Central Florida and plans to try out for the cheer team there. Congratulations, Anaya!
