First time in the State Latin Forum Top 10!

In early April, Holy Trinity students attended the annual Latin forum in Orlando, where they placed among the top 10 Latin programs in Florida for the first time ever.  Holy Trinity finished in 8th place overall, up from 11th place last year.

The team enjoyed many individual wins, including Hanya Irfan, Zoha Irfan, Eric Jaffe, Lauren LeBeau, Esha Patel, Siddarth Ranganath, and Charlotte Varnes, who all scored 1st place in Florida in one of their contests.  Charlotte was recognized with a Double-First award for winning 1st place in both of her contests.  Only about 15 students out of approximately 1,000 achieved this distinction.

According to Latin teacher Adam Mize, “I’m very proud of our students for working so hard and jumping into the top 10.  They represented Holy Trinity well during the competition and were very excited to achieve Holy Trinity’s best ever result at State Latin Forum.”
