Spanish Students Place in the Florida State Spanish Conference
Last weekend a group of 16 Spanish students from Holy Trinity went to Orlando to participate in the Florida State Spanish Conference, competing with over 50 schools.
Our Holy Trinity team received 19 Sobresalientes (outstanding, highest ranking), one Superior and two Excelente awards. As a team, Holy Trinity finished third and brought home the school's first trophy for this competition.
"We are very proud of them, not only for their remarkable performance but for their wonderful conduct and collaboration, as well," said Senora Mirda, World Language Department Chair and Spanish teacher at Holy Trinity, of her students.
The team consisted of Hari Dandapani, Kai Bartolone, Max Pagan, Neal Luthra, Soy Choi, Francesca Catena, Karen Roque, Andrea Jara, Ashvi Luthra, Seneka Apasinghe, Heather Motro, Sofia Obermaier, Jenna Panarese, Rea Cho, Nidhi Chary and Mackenzie Wills. Hari, Nidhy, Max, Ashvi and Heather each received perfect scores in individual competitions.
