That said, don’t let the price of an independent school education scare you. At Holy Trinity, we’re committed to making a private school education accessible to everyone and to building a community of learners from diverse economic backgrounds for the benefit of all. It is Holy Trinity’s mission to welcome motivated students of average and above average ability who come from any religious, racial, social or ethnic group.

While Holy Trinity does not offer academic, athletic, or other merit-based scholarships, we are proud to offer a variable tuition program to help current and prospective families afford a high-quality private school education with us.

Learn More About Variable Tuition at Holy Trinity

List of 6 frequently asked questions.

  • What is Variable Tuition?

Tuition at Holy Trinity does not, and never has, come with a “one-size-fits-all” price tag. Our needs-based Variable Tuition program is based on a confidential financial assessment to determine a family’s estimated ability to contribute to Holy Trinity’s tuition, conducted by FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, an independent vendor serving more than 6,000 schools nationwide
  • How is the Estimated Family Contribution determined?

FACTS will perform a detailed analysis of the following items to determine a family’s ability to contribute toward the cost of attendance.
    • Income
    • Assets
    • Family Size
    • Other tuition obligations (secondary or college)
    • Other expenses

Holy Trinity’s Tuition Assistance Committee uses this information to determine whether variable tuition will be granted, and if so, what amount. Funds granted by the Tuition Assistance Committee are grants that do not need to be repaid.

Additionally, to receive variable tuition candidates must:

    • Have submitted an application for enrollment at Holy Trinity
    • Have a solid academic record and remain in good academic standing
    • Have strong character and integrity
    • Be current with financial obligations to Holy Trinity
    • Candidates who fail to provide the required information, do not follow the guidelines, or miss deadlines may not be considered by the Tuition Assistance Committee

While the school attempts to be equitable in providing assistance based on need, the Variable Tuition Committee must also consider lifestyle choices made by families in the acquisition of homes, boats, cars, and “extras,” such as travel and club memberships. Awards granted do not apply to uniforms, lunch, transportation, field trips, or other discretionary charges.

Variable Tuition funds at Holy Trinity are limited and are made available through a combination of resources. These include annual giving, endowment income, and a specified percent of general operating income as designated annually by the Holy Trinity Board of Trustees. Holy Trinity grants variable tuition to students without regard to race, gender, religion, national origin, or disability.

We work within the available resources to make the school as accessible to as many students and families as possible. Unfortunately, Holy Trinity is not able to provide variable tuition to every deserving student.
  • Is it possible to receive a 100% Variable Tuition grant?

No, it is not. Holy Trinity asks all families to make a financial investment in their child’s education. Our commitment to providing Variable Tuition means that we are sharing that investment with you.
  • How Do I Apply for Variable Tuition?

You must complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, which can be done at any time during the application process, preferably concurrent with your admissions application. If variable tuition is denied by either the school or the family, 100 percent of the deposit will be refunded if the child does not attend Holy Trinity for that school year. • Helpful Hints for Applying for Variable Tuition

    • Don’t wait until you’re accepted to apply for variable tuition. You may complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment at any time during the application process; you do not need to wait until your registration has been completed.

    • You only have to complete one FACTS application even if you have several children applying for aid at Holy Trinity or other schools that use FACTS for financial assistance/variable tuition.

    • Be sure to complete each section entirely.

    • If you have special circumstances that you think the Variable Tuition Committee should be aware of, please include this information in the Notes section of the application.

    • Use good-faith estimates for items where you may not know the exact number. Do not wait for your tax return to be completed before submitting your FACTS application. You may use your prior year tax information as a guideline, but give consideration to any changes in income that may have occurred during the year.

    • In the case of parents who are separated or divorced, Holy Trinity requires that both custodial and non-custodial households complete an application, and provide all supporting documentation.

    • Applications will not be considered until complete.

    • Call FACTS customer service with any questions regarding completion of the application: 866-441-4637.
  • Acceptance Policy

Once the Variable Tuition Committee has determined the amount of the grant, families will be notified by email from FACTS. Variable tuition will not be determined until a student is accepted to Holy Trinity. For returning students, tentative awards are communicated in early February. Families need to accept or decline through FACTS by the specified date in the email to accept their grant. If not accepted timely, the assistance may be redirected to another family, and the registration fee will be returned. We are happy to meet with families at any point during the financial assistance process.
