Holy Trinity’s tagline is: “Start Here. Go Anywhere.” How do you envision helping students to live this motto?
Every goal or challenge in life begins with “a start.” There are multiple paths for success. I will guide my students to find their unique paths for lifelong learning.
What is the most important life lesson you want a child to learn in your classroom?
Kind words matter! Find something you like about each of your classmates and share it with them.
What do you love about teaching?
Teaching is a wonderful profession because no day is ever the same. I enjoy learning and creating lessons to meet the needs of my students.
What are some of your interests and passions outside of the classroom?
I enjoy books and reading. When I travel, I visit independent bookstores that have wonderful children’s sections. I also like the challenge of creating attractive and organized learning spaces at school and at home.
What do you want your students to gain from having known you?
Always be on the lookout for ways to help others. I also want my students to know that there are multiple ways to solve problems and overcome challenges. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and seek help.
How do you measure your success as an educator?
I know I’m a successful educator when my students show or tell me they enjoy coming to school each day.
